Mission Statement
Mission Lakes Improvement District serves as a steward
of the Mission Lakes community.
We protect, preserve, and improve the recreational and overall quality of Mission Lakes by effectively managing aquatic invasive species, monitoring and improving water quality, and working to preserve
the natural quality of the lakes.

About Mission Lakes Improvement District
On December 16, 2025, the Crow Wing County Board of Commissioners passed Resolution 2025-65 creating the Mission Lakes Improvement District (LID)
Mission LID is “authorized to undertake long-term non-native aquatic plant management and water quality monitoring and improvement efforts as outlined in the LID’s foundational documents and as determined necessary and appropriate by its Board of Directors and in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Crow Wing County. Projects of the lake improvement district will be financed by special assessments imposed on riparian landowners pursuant to county policies.”

Mission LID Board of Directors

Under Resolution 2025-65, the Crow Wing County Commissioners appointed these indviduals to the Mission Lid Board of Directors:
President: John Zoia – Term Expires 2028
Vice President: Steve Pittman – Term Expires 2028
Treasurer: Bob Snell – Term Expires 2029
Secretary: Mark Casey – Term Expires 2028
At Large: Nick Bernier – Term Expires 2027
Mission LID Board Members serve without compensation.
Mission LID Bylaws
Mission LID is governed through Bylaws developed by the Board of Directors with legal assistance provided by Severson Porter Law.

The Board of Directors of the Mission Lakes Improvement District will conduct its annual business meeting as follows:
